Lane provided exceptional service and helped us navigate the highly stressful process of relocating to a new state. From the very beginning it was obvious that getting us in the right house - not just any house - was the most important thing to him. Lane is professional, knowledgeable, honest, and extraordinarily responsive. This opinion is shared by my wife, who spent years in the real estate business and has lots of experience with real estate professionals. Lane has very clearly earned our business if we move again and I'll refer him to anyone I can.

Overview

Maple Grove is a flourishing community in the Twin Cities metro area with a population of over 61,000. Just twenty minutes from downton Minneapolis, residents receive every amenity of a large city and the peace and charm of a small town.

History

Winnebago Indians were the only inhabitants of the Maple Grove area until 1851 when Louis Gervais arrived and settled in the area. More and more people began to settle here so that by 1855 the settlement of farms and construction of homes, churches, and the first town hall were underway. Children were taught in a vacant house until the first school house was built around 1860. Several of the early school houses are in existence today, remodeled as private homes. Early businesses and agriculture in Maple Grove included potato growing, creameries and saw mills.

Economy

Maple Grove is home to a regional Boston Scientific research, development and manufacturing facility, employing over 3,000 people. Other major employers include the Independent School District 279 and the City of Maple Grove. The City is home to a large gravel mining area owned by C.S. McCrossan, Tiller Corporation and Aggregate Industries. Active since the 1920s, the GMA is slowly being developed into a residential and commercial area.

Maple Grove has many shops and restaurants and is home to The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes which is a lifestyle center designed in the spirit of a mid-century American village and includes stores such as Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, GoodThings, National Camera Exchange, Hot Mama, Teavana, Anthropologie, California Pizza Kitchen, P.F. Chang's and numerous other upscale stores.

North Memorial and Fairview have partnered to create a hospital that serves Maple Grove and the greater northwest metro area. They offer emergency care as well as surgical services, birthing center, and pediatric care. In addition, they partner with numerous clinics and healthcare providers.
